Hello all,
I am sending this to the v-max brain-trust out there!! I have a wrecked
85 max that has set for 2 years in a dealers garage. When I put a battery
in the bike and turned the key on the tach read 7000 rpm's. I havent got the
bike started yet and was curious to know what would cause this.
Question # 2: I have another 85 max and the fuel pump quit on me and I
aquired a pump of a Venture, have I lost any performance in this? I have
ran the bike for the last 2 years and it has done fine. I dont run my max
that hard and I didnt detect any real loss from one pump to another. Every
once in awhile the bike "hicups" it sounds like it comes up through the
airbox.
Question # 3: Is there another radiator or a way to repair a damaged
radiator? Would one off a Venture work? I have looked at just one model
and just wondered????? I need to find one/fix mine to get on the road.
Question# 4 Has anyone tried RAMAIR on the MAX? Just a thought. I
havent read through all the mailings on file in the web site.
I really appreciate the information on this site I just wish I had the
time to spend a day or so researching the site.
