Are we sure about this? I just put sealed bearings in my Venture
wheels, and have sealed bearings in the Venture wheels that are
being modified for my Vmax.

Wouldn't it be okay to simply load up the speedo drive with
grease? That way the sealed bearings never lose their grease,
and the speedo drive won't lose its grease either- The bearing
will seal the inside, and the rubber seal will handle the outside.
It seems to me that if the speedo gets its grease from the bearing,
the bearing itself will suffer when the grease is transferred to
the speedo drive. No?

Please, anyone with knowledge of this chime in. Thanks!
