I was getting 30mpg on the highway when I first bought my max. It had been
jetted incorrectly though. After going back to stock main jets and needles,
I now got 42 mpg on the way to daytona last weekend(50-70). As soon as you
get into the Boost, expect much much lower.
Does anyone know what RPM provides the best mileage for the highway. This
probably sounds dumb, but a friend used to swear he got higher mpg at 75
rather than 55. Does the best MPG come from efficient burning or more from
"leaner" set needles? I say needles b/c I'm only talking about the 3-5k
range.
