The only way you will get Holley's attention is to talk 1000's of units. I am a
W.D with Holley and asked them to make some manifolds for some of our Australian
engines and their polite answer was "how big is your 1st order?"
I can see their point to be honest.
In fact that is one of the reasons I was looking for a V-Max engine a while
back. I wanted to mount it on our engine dyno and play with an E.F.I system
based on the multi point Delco (GM) system. We have harnessed all the Delco
software up to '97 which is still banked multi point injection. The Delco
program is awesome and incorporates spark and fuel. We could, I believe use the
4 cylinder multi point system off a local GM car or even our V6 system. The V6
uses a single coil pack for each pair of cylinders and triggers from a hall
effect crank trigger type sensor. We could also isolate the fuel and use the
Maxes stock ignition system.
So anybody got an engine they want to donate?
Unfortunately, I'll tell you right now you won't make more power with a good
E.F.I system on a Max, you will be lucky to match a V-boosted carbed Max. My
plan was to develop a viable system and build a big bore engine later to
optimise the injection system on. Then V-boost won't be a factor anyway.
What injection will give you if it is set up right is smoother more linear
throttle response and driveability.
Personally I would prefer carbs on a stock 1200cc. engine, because the gain for
all the pain on a stocker is simply not warranted. That's my opinion.

Apparently they completely missed the point. Maybe if someone had another
