You don't need the special retainer for either mod.
People put them on for piece of mind more than anything else.The stock
retainer's lip while not as wide works just fine.Been running the DD mod for
a year now with no problems.I do however have the special retainer for
anyone that wan'ts to purchase it for $10 (what I paid for it). Bob H
