Whoa Howie...I think you were reading how to do a burnout. As for a proper
launch ...it says not to dump or slip the clutch...just let it out
aggressively until you hear the exhaust note pulling down then release it
and then get on the throttle.  You will find the sweet spot where the engine
doesn't bog too much and where the tire doesn't spin (too much).
