Scott,
At WOT ... I think the pressure sensor input might contribute a few
real degrees of timing, (it doesn't take much manifold vacuum to
obtain some benefit ), but I really don't think it's absence would be
this dramatic. This is probably where the flatside comment comes from
... as the bigger hole at WOT has a more significant effect on
manifold vacuum and is not able to bring the sensor into range so the
extra advance that might otherwise be available is lost, (the
modification we were talking about is a way for them to fudge this and
make the ignitor think there is more vacuum available than there
really is).
As far as testing the fuel pump output .... you can pull the stack
feed, (fuel line), and run it into a jug .... turn on the key and let
it run for say 30-60 seconds etc ... and see what level you attain.
You could compare your output to say "someone else's" output ... who
is not having this problem ... ;>) .......
