Scott,
If your slides are opening all the way and the Vboost is really open
all the time, (not closed all the time), and you don't have a filter
restriction ... then I am at a loss ... I can't imagine what could be
wrong with the coils/ignition ..etc that would allow an engine to run
to 7400 RPM and then no further. Are you running a rev limiter or a
shift light on your bike ?? Are you running stock plug wires, etc ..
w/ a normal gap, (.035) ??

All your ignition grounding is at the bolt on the frame in front of
the battery and near the right front side of the seat. What happened a
year ago when this started ??

Anyhow .. sometimes when everything checks out and is OK ... it
absolutely positively couldn't be that ... but you are making no
forward progress on resolving your problem ... then it isn't a bad
idea to re-evaluate the things it positively couldn't be .... Why
don't you swap parts w/ Stan ??

If I were allowed to do only "one" thing to anyone's bike to make it
behave exactly like this .... I would make sure the Vboost stayed
closed all the time.
good luck,
campbell
