Don, I just went out and looked again (to make sure), but there's no switch or wires anywhere near my side stand, aside from a small, sheathed harness that runs along the inside of the front half of the frame before disappearing who knows where. The weldplate of the side kick does, however, have two threaded holes and an indented flat surface that could support a switch. I bought the bike new in '86, and I'm sure I'd have eventually noticed a switch there if there had been one. Was I robbed from the get-go, or did the Euro models just not come with?
