Anodizing is one of the most typical surface treatments for aluminum. Most
aluminum street bike frames come anodized.

You can also polish the aluminum yourself. You can then use a sealant to
protect the metal from oxidizing. I did this to a stock, anodized 1993
CBR900RR frame and I am going to start on my Vmax scoops, side panels and
wheels when I have time. You can use Easy Off Oven Cleaner to remove any
surface sealant that is present prior to polishing. It's relatively cheap
but it does take time.

If you have the parts anodized and don't like the end result you can always
polish the aluminum.

Powder coating is also a really nice looking alternative.
