Tony, What were the conditions when you put the switch to reserve?  If you
were not at speed there might not have been enough time for the pump to fill
the bowls back up before she died.  I would try the same senario again.
When she starts starving for gas just pull over and let her die.  Turn her
off, flip the reserve switch on, then just switch the ignition to "on" and
listen for the pump to do her ticking.  It should be pretty fast.  It will
go for just a few seconds then stop.  Turn the ignition off then back on.
After a couple of times of this the ticking will slow then stop and the
bowls are full.  She should start right up.  If you do not hear the ticking
the first time then you do have a problem with the reserve circuit.
