Bob,
I know this is probably only stating the obvious ..... but when
everything checks out "OK" and it still isn't fixed it is a good idea
to check again. IMHO ... I would take a very good look at the slide in
cylinder four's carb. Just compress the little sucker back with your
finger and release it .. compare it's movement on compression and
release with the other three carbs. Then I would take the slide out
and have another look at it ... make sure the needle is fully seated
... that the alignment tit is in it's hole and that the needle collar
is firmly seated up against the c-clip, (and washer if applicable ...
I suppose it is since you said you were on 2.5 clicks). You might want
to take a needle out of a good slide and make sure they appear to be
the same and that you are not running a ringer in cylinder 4.
You can of course give your pilots a fresh blast of air to make sure
you don't have a plugged up air jet .. but I think if you did you
would have smoke coming out of the exhaust on that side at idle.
