I've been running with the Vboost open full time for over a year. I've
tried it back and forth and can't seem to tell any big difference one way or
the other. I do it mainly because I like the way is loaps at idle. It
makes the loaping much more pronounced.
Very simple to do. Just remove the left scoop and locate a round connector
(only round one in there). Turn the key on and watch the Vboost cycle.
Unplug the round plug and then lightly plug it back in. Now turn the key on
again while watching the Vboost mechanism. It will cycle open, pause, and
then close. Just unplug the round plug while it's fully open.
If you don't like it, just plug it back in. Also, be sure to remember to
plug it back in when you go to synch the carbs.
