Hi,

Not quite true, having the vboost activated all the time will dramatically
reduce the velocity of the airflow through the carbs at low throttle
openings. I'm not sure how that would contribute to gumming the float bowls,
but it's simply not true that the always open vboost only affects things
downstream of the carbs. CV carbs are pretty sensitive to pressure on both
sides of the throttle plates.
