Because i've previewed all y current mail on this thread i will 
weigh into this now.
        as has been stated, if all you do is open the boost, you may, but 
will probably not get any positive results. in fact the results will 
probably be negative, unless or until you accompany it with needle shims and 
removing the airbox "Y".
        at this point,"i guarantee" you'll know the diff. it will be even 
more evedent if you drill the stock muffler end plate at the same time as 
you will then have a better induction/exhaust ballance.
        D. Smith can tell you all about and how worthless that Holeshot 
switch is.
        i ran with boost open a whole season before i went stg7. no problems 
and i had a whole lot more effect than "cool sounding idle".in fact, that's 
what convinced me to spend money on the complete modification.
         check T. Haydens web site for all the induction info you can stand 
or even handle at this point.
