I have a 93 V-MAX ,9003 miles, no mods, completely stock. This bike has a
hesitation under wide open throttle as it approaches 8000-8500 rpm. It was
in a dealership 2 months, where the carbs were rebuilt, coils were changed,
new air filter, new plugs, and several other attempts at repair, to no
avail. I then got the bike, removed the carbs, went thru them(found not
problem). Set the float level, and did a through synchronization. Checked
the float bowl vents, and hoses. Checked the fuel pump, fuel pickup in tank,
and tank venting. ( Loosened fuel cap) V-Boost cycles when key is first
turned on. Bike responds very well low end to mid range, but still has
hesitation-very pronounced- at high rpm, well into the main jet range.
Starting to suspect not a carb problem. Any one had a similar experience?
