TC- I'm helping a clueless friend with the problem. He just got the bike,
along with the problem. It was mentioned if the fuel filter had been
changed, and yes, it was. Checked diaphragms, and needle position, as well
as going thru all carbs again. I feel that at the RPM this occurs, the carbs
are pretty well up onto the main jets. Also checked main jets to be sure
they had not been tampered with. (drilled out or something like that) New
air filter too. New NGK plugs of the proper type. V-boost is cycling upon
key power-up. This bike may have had this problem since new, I don't know
the original owner. I don't feel it is a cam timing problem, as it is too
pronounced-- almost like hitting the Kill switch. It almost seems it "runs
out of gas" but will quickly pick back up again and pull to rev limit.
Again, fuel pump delivery checks OK on the stand. Maybe something happening
in the dynamic state??? Still looking. any more ideas? Thanks, Leo
