I have a '93 myself. The only time I have ever been able to "create" a
hesitation/pronounced flat spot near this RPM was when I was fooling
with individual filters and was adjusting the main jet. When I finally
got too small the hesitation/flat spot appeared. The bike would pull
strong right to 75-78K .. hesitate and then go on like nothing
happened. Moving back up one step on the mains eliminated the problem.
Sooooooooooo .. since you are completely stock .. and you have
examined the carbs, (no slide rubber problems etc), I am curious when
you first started to notice that this was happening ?? Just this
season ?? Two months ago ?? Since you have had it ??
