All the years have basically the same brace up front. It looks beefy, but when you
take it off, it is hollow. I replaced mine with a super brace and my "P-51" is a 99.
I also installed Furbur's frame braces and performed the Furbur Fix. This was all
done to correct a low speed wobble - to no avail!!! Just for $hits and giggles I
checked my air pressure - 20PSI in both front and rear. My 7 year old son loves the
sound of air coming out of a shredder valve!!! I placed 40 PSI in both and the wobble
went away. To quote TC: "IMHO", I, Kraig, feel if you are not having any handeling
problems, don't bother. What the super brace did seem to do was help the bike track
better when driving over ruts in the road at high speed. Here in New Mexico and Far
West Texas, we have the ocational snow shower. The Dept. of Roads brakes out the old
1941 snow plow and runs the roads. The blade on these trucks is poorly maintained and
will grove the road for miles. This makes for a dancing !
front end at 80MPH. The super brace took alot of this dancing away.
