When you say grind off where it fits the forks I expect this is the problem
I had trying to get the SuperBrace to fit down on the fork legs. So does
this mean grind off some of the material inside the radius that mates to the
legs? I can make scrap out of good parts in a hurry with a grinder so am
somewhat apprehensive of this task Any suggestions on how to do this would
be appreciated.

It does help, but make sure it fits correctly. When you tighten the
bolts, make sure nothing is in a bind. Set it on the forks to see if it
sets square and doesn't rock. Some have had to grind some off the bottom
where it sits on the forks.
