Kraig,

Given that your bike is still under warrantee, or at least that the problems
began long before the warrantee expired, and that you haven't done anything
to the interior of the motor, why don't you take it to your dealer and ask
them to fix or replace the bike? You won't get that kind of oil consumption
without something being seriously wrong with either rings or valve guides
(or a leak). Should be covered under warrantee.
