Hi Guedo,

Unfortunately, a compression test doesn't necessarily tell the whole story
for oil-consumption problems, since the primary culprit is the oil control
(bottom) ring and the compression test mostly tests the compression (top)
ring. It'll tell you something if things are grossly out of whack, of
course, and if the compression test is failed, you'll know there's a ring
problem, (assuming no burned valves), but if the compression test is passed,
you still won't know if the oil control rings are bad. IMHO
