Steve, when I picked mine up after the first servce, I asked the service
manager how far off they were. Three intakes had less than .002
clearance. If I had waited to go to 26,000, there would have been burnt
valves. Yes intakes can burn. My manual for first service lists
1,000-1,200 for it. Mine went in at 1,300. If you want help, I'm always
glad to. But If you know more, then more power to you. I've got 94,000
and the motor has't been opened up. No its not babied, but it doesn't
spend its time at 10,500 either. There was someone that has a 2000 model
and had 1,500 miles and the wrist pins are knocking? Who knows more?
