You did not strike a nerve . The printed word is not my best in comunications . It is impossible to see our expressions and tone of voice . These are the first mailing lists or printed communication that I have ever been involved in . I'm alot better than i used to be . At least I think I am :)  I was just trying to help .

Bradford,
If my bike 's light was coming up slow I would look real close at the battery. The battery is the accumulator in my circuits .
I was trying to help you out . Seams that you do not think that a high watt halogen will run in the Vmax . Just make sure that your connections are good . There are many ahead of us that have for many years been enjoying the 130 watt without any problems .

One easy way to tell if the lamp is obtaining the necessary current is when you select high or low beam. If the light is slow to get bright you have a current problem .Quartz lamps reach full current very quick. some delay is always evident. these lamps are high current devices. Bradford
