Hal
Ive also got a pcw chain drive w/530 O-ring chain by rk. ive got only 4
passes at the track but more importantly I put on 10k miles on it in 6
months. Stretch was minimal after the first break in.
chain drive conversions do require more maintenance than shafts but there are
some benefits.
1 my pcw mod has a solid 10" swingarm through bolt instead of the stock
shaft pins, thus adding additional frame bracing.
2 rpm in top gear depending on sprocket size is 5K @ 95 mph
off the line acceleration suffers a little but top end has more oomph
3 no more shaft effect. most noticeable when exiting corners.
4 Wider selection of wheels.
