I've notice a kind of pulsating sound coming from the drivetrain or
transmission at 45 to 50 mph in 4th gear on my max. I noticed this sound
on another max that I had at the same speed and same gear. It sounds
like greeng grung greeng grung greeng grung is the best that I can
describe it. It's more pronounced while going up hill. Has anybody else
noticed this sound on their max?

Humm, I thought it was wind buffeting my helmet but we all know, "Denial is
not just a river in Egypt". Pretty much the end of the riding season for me
here in Michigan (I can't stand the cold) but I have heard something similar
to your description above and chose to ignore it.
