didn't have time yesterday to respond and also blew away the initial
message from bill. so this is in response to bill's concern about being
a potential new vmax owner. GO FOR IT.
my first big bike was a z1 (73), then like tyler, an interceptor (83)
which on
paper had more horsepower but nowhere near the torque which really is
what moves a bike. then, from 89 to 99 i had a zx10 which i put over 28k
on and it was a great bike. BUT, i wanted a bike w/shaft drive that
could
get out of it's own way, i wanted to be able to plant my feet firmly on
tghe
ground at a stop sign and i wanted a bike w/o plastic. yea, i know it's
heavy
and doesn't handle and really isn't as fast as my 10 but, there is a
tremendous
after market to personalize and that is a lot of the fun. while the
fellow i sold
my 10 to can't believe i sold it, i don't regret it. so good luck and go
for it.
