A few more comments.
7. If I implied that you only did a table lookup, I apologize. I looked at
the code previously and it clearly states you use a cubic spline. Also you
said you used a 25-term Taylor series as a reference for your comparison.
Unless you used extra precision, it's pretty difficult to know that
round-off in the calculation of the Taylor series didn't influence your
reference values. I trust you used more than double precision (maybe quad
precision?) for your reference.
