I think Ken is referring to a limit on the number of local variables in the
parser (?) That usually, but not always, implies a lot of Lithium
variables. The limits in Lithium currently are:
2^18 (256K) virtual registers
2^9 (512) fixed stack slots (e.g. incoming parameters)
