Yes, only it's a 10" brake drum.
Henschen Dura-Torque/Flex.
Not exactly 'off-the-shelf', but they assemble to your specs.

The original (1948) axle was long gone - had been replaced a few years ago with a Dexter axle w/10" brakes, but still using the original (1948) leaf-springs.

I recently ordered and received the Henschen Dura-Flex axle, with 10" Dexter brakes. I'm replacing the whole 'truck' (what the whole axle/brake/suspension/wheel assembly is called)
with the Henschen system.

See previous posting for Henschen contact info.

Subject: [VAC] Leaf Spring type Axle

I have a 1953 single axle Overlander with leaf springs (not TorkFlex).  From what I have read here, It may be
cheaper (and safer) just to replace the whole axle/break/spring assembly
rather than restore the original.

Has anyone done this on an older single axle, conventional spring, 12 inch
breakdrum unit?  If so, what brand of axle was used, was it an "off the
shelf" part, or custom fabricated?

Thanks in advance.
