It still could be a great benefit to a vintage puller.   The compression
ratios were pretty high back then . This makes for a lot of pre-detonation
...a.k.a. "pinging".   Anything to lower the chamber temperature might help
reduce the pinging we get using the low octane gas available today.  That'll
help oil mileage as well as reducing engine wear.    I'm still interested in
the water injection even if it doesn't increase gas mileage.
