Hi Kris,
The O'Reilly Linux Cookbook recommends using Knoppix (knoppix.net) with
f-prot (f-prot.com). Here's a guide:

I also have heard that ClamAV is an anti-virus program that runs on
GNU/Linux, but I have never used it.

Hi folks.
I have a windows machine that is badly infected with viruses and malware
(go figure). I was thinking, what better way to remove a virus than by
using a bootable image of linux.
Can anyone give any suggestions for:
A) a Free antivirus that works with some flavor of linux?
B) Is there a free online scan that might work within a linux operating
system?
You know what I'm trying to do. Thanks so much for your help.
Sincerely,
