I'm from the PHP Users Group and there was some talk awhile back about
doing a "code review" meeting. I think some sort of
cross-language/cross-platform "code camp" would be interesting as
well. It would be interesting for newbies because they could talk to
people that specialize in various languages/platforms and learn about
what tools may work for what jobs. Plus, us non-newbies can always
learn new stuff from people using technology other than what we use
everyday :-)

Since the PHP Users Group came up, I'll mention that tonight's
(3/26/2009) meeting should be interesting. Paul Reinheimer from
php|architect will be taking an in-depth look at the easy/hard parts
of web applications. We'll be meeting at 6pm at the Vermont Center for
Emerging Technologies (VCET). Details here:
