A presentation on .NET vis-à-vis Mono would be totally on-topic, and I'd love to see one. The .NET stack seems to have some actual innovation going on (CIL, CLR, LINQ, Assemblies, Managed vs. Unmanaged code, &c.) Also, I'd love to see the .NET folks start talking more about Open Source.
