I've found that coLinux[1] is a better route to go down. It's not
polished yet, so it requires a bit more technical skills, but it's worth
it! There's a Portable Ubuntu[2] package based on coLinux that doesn't
require too much tweaking. I started editing a Portable Gentoo[3] page
on the coLinux wiki as well.
