To this excellent list of help commands I would add:

C-h i: info

Read the online manuals bundled with Emacs, including the Emacs
manual itself, the Elisp manual, and manuals for various special
modes and packages. A valuable resource from the
    *self-documenting* text editor.

I recently moved to a simple Gnus setup for an IMAP mail account; the
Gnus manual, though occasionally daunting, was a lot more helpful than
the mostly-fruitless Google results I was getting.
