Define at least 3 sides for your module under (Definition of Player Sides):
player 1
player 2
GM/DM/ST whatever you call it

Under your prototypes for the pieces, add the Restricted Access trait.  For 
belongs to side, add the DM/GM/ST plus whichever player that piece belongs to 
(so there will be two owners of the piece).

Now the player and the DM/GM/ST will see the piece when it is invisible.
