You usually expect .log files to be text files and many people will have these setup to auto-open with a text editor. Similiarly, .mod files are usually expected to be music files. I would prefer to rename the lot, and I don't believe there is any reason at all to keep to a n.3 format file name. Module: .vmod or .vmd Extenstion: .vmdx or .vmx Plugin: .vplug or .vpg Log/save: .vdata or .vdt But, it doesn't really matter as long as something is decided as standard, even if it ends up being .mod, .mdx, .pgi, .sav and .dat ____________________________________________________________ Brent Easton Analyst/Programmer University of Western Sydney Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
