When I create a VM with the Wizard on VirtualBox 4.1.8 and select "Operating System: Microsoft Windows" one of the "Version:" choices on the list is "Windows 7 (64 bit)". If that selection is not offered, then perhaps your CPU is not 64-bit capable.
