Hi,
I got VirtualBox on Kernel3.2.3-2.fc16.x86_64, I got 3 vm with win XP 32
bits and one win7 32-bits , and all runs without problem

as I wrote I'm co-maintainer of VirtualBox on rpmfuison, so I invite
you to test VirtualBox-OSE-4.1.8 from rpmfusion , after
install rpmfusion-free-release-16-1.2.noarch

yum install VirtualBox-OSE kmod-VirtualBox-OSE

and I added patch to supports extension packs to add additional
functionality such as USB 2.0.

Best regards
