Sorry, but what I meant to say is, why in general do we call these
pre-built, OS specific files "binary", as opposed to calling them something
else, non-binary and such? (Fortunately for me) I got the part about the
distinction between them and source code, which must then be compiled before
use.

Are these particular file versions for an Oracle OS?
