I made a comparison between VirtualBox 1.3.x and VirtualPC 2007 many years ago. They were near equal.
VirtualPC was slightly easier to use and more stable, while VBox supported Linux and was open-source. Equal fight. VirtualBox 4.x beats VPC 2007 hands-down, but no comparison vs. XP mode (aka VirtualPC 2010) was made. Before VirtualBox, I was a VirtualPC user for many years... (VirtualPC 2002/2004/2007).
