I'm not catching your drift? I don't believe that any mentioned running it with multiple instances, at least that is not what I was referring to in my comments. I have a license to XP, and several other Windows versions. Furthermore, Microsoft itself "provides" a free, fully functional, licensed version of it to validated users of Windows 7 when you download the beast from their website. Here is more information:

Which you cannot unless you are a corporate client with a Software Assurance contract. You can use the Windows XP Mode .vhd Microsoft provides with VirtualBox or any other virtualization solution but you cannot change that .vhd to .vdi (it would deactivate Windows, IIRC) or purchase a Windows license for use in a VM. I understand that VBox's VM functionality can support running a much broader set of operating systems than can Windows Virtual PC, and I am not referring to VBox versus Virtual PC. What I am talking about is only the quality of performance of the Windows XP OS in Windows XP Mode in comparison with the quality of its performance while running on VirtualBox. Perhaps, for instance, someone here has run in both ways and noticed any remarkable differences? -- Pau Garcia i Quiles http://www.elpauer.org (Due to my workload, I may need 10 days to answer) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Everyone hates slow websites.
