Hello,
I think you are under the wrong assumption you can license Windows XP (or
any other desktop Windows) for use in a virtual machine. Which you cannot
unless you are a corporate client with a Software Assurance contract.
You can use the Windows XP Mode .vhd Microsoft provides with VirtualBox or
any other virtualization solution but you cannot change that .vhd to .vdi
(it would deactivate Windows, IIRC) or purchase a Windows license for use
in a VM.
