Hi experts,
I installed Debian 7 (Wheezy) the other day, and copied all the Virtualbox
guest images from Debian 6(Squeez). When I start the guest host , the host
reboots. I tried Vituralbox 4.1.16 and the latest 4.2.16, both having the
similiar problems. Sometime the host doesn't reboot, but the guest OS (it
is a windows xp) gave me a blue scrren, error messag was:
irql_not_less_or_equal or pageFault_in_nopaged_area.
This is my environment:
Dell Latitude E6350, nvidia NVS 5200 video chip, host is Debian 7 Wheezy
AMD64
The guest OS is Windows XP 32bit which runs perfectly on a Debian 6 Squeez
host, I wonder is it OK to just copy the images from the old host to the
new host? Should I import it? And is it OK to run a 32bit guest on a
64bit host?
I searched the web, some people says it's related to 3D enabled in the VM,
but I don't enable 3D. And some says it's related to nvidia driver, I
don't use this driver, I use the Debian video driver named "nouveau".
Best regards,
Yuwen
