Your idea of the business world is a little out of wack.

Just because it is open source does not mean it has to be free.

You should read the section in the GPL that says you can give it 
away or you can charge for it.

A class of software that provides the source code or 
software "recipe", and allows the user to modify and copy the 
software freely. Open Source software is usually free or has a 
small fee if it is on CD. You can always compile it from source 
code for free. Some open source software has multiple licenses, 
including commercial licenses, like the MySQL database. There are 
many different software licenses classified as open source, 
including the GPL license, BSD license, Perl artistic license and 
many more. Open source is not the same as "Freeware", which is 
generally proprietary and does not allow access to the source code. 
Open source software is high quality software and has been 
developed for about 40 years by individuals, educational 
institutions, corporations and governments. Some of the most 
powerfull and secure operating systems in the world are Open 
Source.
