You can compile courier-imap with --enable-workarounds-for-imap-client-bugs,
and it will allow for Netscape's problems with IMAP. That's how I run it.
I use courier-imap, vpopmail, and IMP (also tried squirrelmail) without any
problems at all. I have several outlook users as well, and have never had a
problem. It's not a very large user base yet, but I haven't seen any
reasons why it wouldn't work well for you, or in larger environments.
