Hi,

We  have  an  out-of-box  Sendmail  installation  in  our  RedHAt  6.1  machine.
We  are  trying  to  move  our  installation  to  a  
Solaris  7  +  vpopmail  +  qmail  .

My  question  follows:

I  want  my  users  to  use  their  existing  passwords.  
Redhat  uses  md5,  however,  I  suppose,  Solaris  uses  DES?
This  is  a  big  trouble  since  vpopmail  uses  the  OS's  crypt  function.

Is  there  a  way,  to  make  Solaris  use  md5  instead  of  DES?  

or,.....  should  I  assign  new  passwords  to  all  my  users?
