on my system, it says

        DMA: mdma0 mdma1 mdma2 udma0 udma1 udma2 udma3 udma4 udma5 *udma6
...
which I interpret as: "this device suuports mdma0-udma6
and is currently running in udma6 mode.".
I got for first disk
...
DMA: mdma0 mdma1 mdma2 udma0 udma1 udma2 udma3 udma4 udma5 *udma6
...
and for second
...
DMA: mdma0 mdma1 mdma2 udma0 udma1 udma2 udma3 udma4 udma5 *udma6 udma7
...

This would propably mean that both my sata disks are dma enabled.
