SHPI has a new safety Huber called the "MiniLoc". On their website, they have a picture of a dual lumen port accessed with these needles-- they appear to fit well, although I haven't tried them in a dual-lumen myself yet. http://www.shpi.com/products/miniLoc/miniLocOverview.asp

Subject: Re: port needles
we are experiencing the same difficulty. on peds we use dual lumen ports
frequently and some of them are absolutely dinky. we have trialed
several but none have really met our needs and im sorry to say at this
point we are still using a non safety catheter.

Hi All,
We are trialing various various safety non-coring needles for use with
our ports. Can people share what they use and why they like or don't
like it. One of the challenges we're wondering about is how well two
fit side-by-side when the patient has a dual-lumen/dual-septum port.
Thanks, Maria
